ABOUT THE SUZUKI METHOD
Dr. Shinichi Suzuki developed a method of teaching violin using the "mother-tongue" approach. He studied the way young children learned to speak their native tongue. He then used those techniques to teach children how to play violin. Some of these techniques include:
- Begin at an early age
- A parent attends the lessons
- Daily listening of the recording of pieces being learned
- Move in small steps
